Dubai Airshow 2027

The Dubai Airshow is the Middle East’s premier aerospace and defence exhibition, held every two years at Dubai World Central (DWC) near Al Maktoum International Airport. The event draws airlines, manufacturers, defence contractors, and aviation authorities from over 100 countries. The 2027 edition — the biennial follow-up to the 2025 show — runs 17–21 November.

The show operates on two tracks simultaneously: a large-scale trade exhibition where aerospace companies, airlines, and defence organisations conduct significant commercial deals, and a public-facing air display that runs daily on the flight line.

The trade exhibition

Inside the exhibition halls, companies display everything from commercial widebody jets to satellite systems, drone technology, and maintenance equipment. The Dubai Airshow has historically been the venue for some of the largest aircraft orders ever announced — Emirates and flydubai regularly use the platform for major fleet announcements. For industry visitors, this is the primary attraction; registration for trade days is separate from public access.

The flying display

Previous editions have featured aircraft ranging from commercial Airbus and Boeing jets to military fighters and regional turboprops. National aerobatic teams, including the UAE’s own Al Fursan display squadron, have performed at past shows. The flying display runs across all five days and is visible from the public and trade areas alike.

Public access

The Dubai Airshow is publicly accessible, though the structure of trade versus public days varies by edition. Typically, the first three days lean toward industry and trade visitors, with more accessible public programming toward the end of the show. Getting there

Dubai World Central is approximately 45 km south of central Dubai. Transport from the city is most practical by private car, taxi, or ride-hailing app (Careem, Uber). Expect approximately AED 100–150 for a taxi from Downtown Dubai one way. The DWC area is not served by the existing Dubai Metro; shuttle buses from designated city pick-up points are often organised during the show — check the official site for 2027 shuttle details. Driving is possible but parking fills early; arriving before 9:00 is recommended.

What to expect and practical tips

The November weather in Dubai is mild at around 27–30°C during the day with cooler evenings. The show site is largely outdoor, with the flight line exposed to the sun; sunscreen, a hat, and comfortable shoes are essential. The venue is large — allow a full day if you intend to cover both the exhibition halls and the flying display. Photography is generally permitted in the public areas; restrictions apply in some defence exhibit zones.
